Readout of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict Christopher Maier Meeting With Director General at the Defense Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense of Finland Janne Kuusela

Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict Christopher Maier met with Director General at the Defense Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense of Finland Janne Kuusela yesterday at the Pentagon for the signing of a Special Operations Forces Statement of Intent (SOI).

This SOI builds on the strong defense cooperation between the United States and Finland and provides a framework for future enhancements of shared capabilities.  Through agreements such as this one, the United States and Finland seek to strengthen the bilateral relationship and enhance cooperation and interoperability of Special Operations Forces.
