It is the same here in Texas in regards to the automatic arrest you referred to. My record was clean and the trooper decided to cut me a break apparently. I will get this issue taken care of before I leave, but I am just following what my recruiter told me do.

P.S- The reason I am fighting it is because I don't think I was going 103; I remember doing 90-95 so he might've clocked me wrong or perhaps it wasn't properly calibrated.
Cisco4711 you made a mistake. LEO's have a job to do, don't make his life any harder than it already is by fighting over a few mph. You broke the law but you may have an out here in the Republic of Texas. Most moving violations can be worked off by going to the city clerk's office and getting the requisite forms to negate the violation by taking Defensive Driving. You will still have costs to pay but the violation will not be entered on your record. Just hope you weren't going so fast that they won't let you have this out.

I wonder how many of us have gone over the speed limit to include doing a hundred just to "see what she can do" I know I have. The key thing stud is that you had best take care of it should that be an issue as to whether you get an opt 40 contract.

As far as I'm concerned I did a lot of stupid shit when I was young that I now know was inappropriate but part of bein a Ranger is pushin the limits, unfortunately this was not the way to demonstrate it. Deal with the consequences by taking care of it in court, pay your fine and move out.
