Congrats Sir! I'm looking forward to living vicariously through your career :D

Seriously, if they gave you the 82d, they must think well of you.
You're being graded every moment of your career there in "O"Land, so don't ever let up.
The buck stops with you - there comes a time when "whatcha gonna do now Sir" stops being a ball breaker from NCO instructors & becomes a real serious question from your NCOs who won't be breaking your chops, but will be wanting real decisions & leadership - and that's where you'll earn those privileges we bust on you about.

"whadda we gonna do now Sir!?"

I got my wings last week and all is well. There is not much to speak of about airborne school. My chute opened five times with no injuries. It is off to BOLCII, IOBC, and then RANGER school. Im still motivated looking foreward to chasing that tab. Thank you Rangers and other board members. Buck27

Hello Rangers and honored board members. Here she is. I started Ranger School one week after IOBC and graduated 07Sept. A high speed squad and some good luck put me through as a first time go. There are a lot of stories, but a few things concern the board.

This was my first run in with the Ranger Battalion boys that I had heard soo much about. Initially they were a pain in the ass. In time I really started to appreciate their high expectations and level of operation. They really were a level above everyone else, and their work ethic was a force multiplier with the whole platoon.
I learned a lot about patrolling, teamwork, the human body and myself over those 2 months. Although some people stay for longer, I feel like I got the full experience, ie falling down a mountain, shitting my pants, getting peered, losing 25 pounds, the Gator lounge, almost cutting my dick off, and rekindling my faith in God.

After Ranger School it was next door to RSLC. RSLC is one of the best run and taught courses in the Army. We jumped the dash one steerable chute and it was great. I earned the nickname of sky ninja after a fellow LT ran into my suspension lines at about 100 feet AGL. The chutes collapsed, but by the time they provided no lift capability, we were about 30 feet up and the DZ was soft. Recon in itself is a very tough and difficult job that deserves great respect. RSLC is a well run course and highly recommended.

After RSLC, I walked on to Pathfinder which held graduation last Friday. It was incredibly challenging in that there was a shit ton of info to learn for each test. My grasp of airborne operations greatly improved. It was truly an honor to attend the course as a cherry lt. On a side note, I didn’t tell the LT office here about walking on as they would not let me attend the course. It was not pretty when they found out, but they respected my desire for schools and let me stay in.

In short, I now go on to the 82nd for the new year with some good schools under my belt and 12 jumps. The rumor is that we deploy in the fall to Afghanistan. I heard that Kageryu311 recycled mountains because he failed knots. I know he is determined and will do well. Thank you to everyone on this board. Happy Holidays and thanks again.

Well done. Your RS experience mirrors mine, except the shitting your pants part.

I'm glad you gave the LT office the proverbial middle finger. Those cats are a bunch of douches.

Enjoy the 82d. I know I did.

All right LT, like everyother Ranger in the world I have cut myself playing with a knife, even after being told not to play with said knife for my own safety  But almost cutting your junk off? :? Dare I say it? You're the first :P This is a story I have to hear......

Congrats on finishing Hooah school, LRSC or whatever the heck it's called now and badgefinder!
