Welcome....
What is your BS in? And congrats on deciding to pick up the medical profesion. Do you have any prior experience in it. The road is difficult but very well worth it when you can be called a Soldier-Medic.

Ranger 91W, thanks for the kind words. I have some experience dealing with sports medicine, but no first responder type work. My B.S. is in General Studies with several areas of concentration, one of which is Biological Science. Again, thanks for the advice, the harder the road the more fun it is and the more rewarding the destination. Any advice will be apprieciated greatly.

Whoa there...Save the Ranger title for those that have earned it. Attention to detail. The MOS is new so I would not be of too much help on what to expect in training other than the NREMT portion of it. Sounds like you have a goo head on your shoulders so you will do fine as lolng as you put the effort in.Medic1024 wrote:Ranger 91W, thanks for the kind words. To all the Rangers on the forum, I apologize for incorrectly attributing Ranger status to 91W (nothing against you personally), the USAR under his rank avatar caught my attention and I just made it out to be an acronym for U.S. Army Ranger not U.S. Army Reserve which I assume is the actual meaning. Apologies again.

Just wanted to update my introduction by adding that as of 20060914 I have been sworn into service as a member of the United States Army and did succeed in retaining a contract for 68W/BAT/Opt. 40 and I am pumped! Thanks for all the input, keep it coming.
