Introduction

Post by Medic1024 »

My name is Joshua, I am 24 years old and finished graduated with my B.S. degree in 2006/05. I just finished a long day at MEPS and am glad to say that in a week or three I will be able to upgrade my avatar to one from the coveted DEP gallary.

I am awed at the amount of information you servicemen and women make available to those of us getting in on the ground floor. My questions are few and for another place on the board, so I thank the members of this forum again for all the time they spend helping out future soilders. Although, before I begin posting, I am ooking for feedback (some former soldiers of personal aquaintence have called pointless) on my belief that to effectively lead troops into battle one needs to have experienced life on the enlisted side of the house, along with my belief that serving with the distinction of Ranger will enable me to accomplish all my military career goals with precision and determination I would not otherwise have at my disposal.

Again, I want to thank you all for your service to this online community and to the Constitution which upholds this great nation.

Medic1024, you are now a medic? or you would like to be. Big difference.

If you are not a medic and have a site-name as you do then you are a wannabe. Which is it? You omitted this small detail from your intro.

Funny how things come in waves. We go three months with nothing but stupid, jackass intros, then lately we've switched to a swarm of intelligent, well written intros. Thanks for being one of the good ones and for showing in interest in our house. Welcome to the site.

Ranger Steadfast, I apologize for what appears to be a poor choice in name. I secured a contract for 68W (Health Specialist/Combat Medic) and included my ship date 10/24, which obviously noone else would know, so I apologize. I have attempted to correct this myself but, Rangers, feel free to change it to what you deem appropriate.

On a side note, Ranger Ranger Bill, I managed to secure a contract for 68W , as stated above, and suceeded in getting an option 40 to go with it. Thank you for any information you will share with me as I prepare to begin the long road of training.

Welcome... I'm sure that the DEPs have already contacted you. Once you get into the training pipeline the Ranger "Docs" will pick you up. Never, never quit.

Ranger Jim, I don't mean to be dense, but what part of the training pipeline were you refering to and what did you mean by "pick you up?" Thanks for the advice, quit is not a verb in my vocabulary, it's Sua Sponte all the way for me!
