When discussing pick up lines, you can't forget the important role of the wingman/woman. Yes, they can be used to occupy the friend of the person you have targeted. Sometimes this is a sacrifice for them, other times an added bonus. The power of having a wingmate of the opposite sex is also discounted. There is a lot of important information shared in the lady's restroom (the often long lines make it natural for us to start gabbing). Women, especially when drinking, share a lot of vital stats.

I have on numerous occasions hooked up a guy friend by simply starting a conversation with the woman of his choice and then introducing them. The intel gathered in the restroom can also help in choosing the target.

My favorite pick up (obviously biased) was solely based on the quick thinking of a wingman. I was ordering a drink when a man approached me and said his friend had been watching me all night long and wanted to talk to me yadda yadda yadda. The "friend" was scary. I promptly replied with "If your friend doesn't have the balls to come talk to me himself, then I'm definitely not interested." To which a smart young Ranger wingman replies, "well if balls are what you're looking for, then I've got just the guy for you" and he turns the stool of a very drunk Ranger my direction. I am standing and the guy is sitting, so obviously his eyes connect with my rack and slowly, very slowly work their way up to my face. Thanks to the quick thinking of that wingman, we walked down the aisle a few years later.
