A horse travels the same distance every day.

Oddly, two of its legs travel 30 miles each day and the other two legs travel nearly 31 miles.

It would seem that two of the horse's legs must be one mile ahead of the other two legs, but of course this can't be true.

Since the horse is normal, how is this situation possible?

While exploring the wild highlands of Scotland, Crazy Vee was captured by hostile Kilted Heathens.

Smazze, the powerful chief of the Heathens told him he could make one final statement which would determine how he would die.

If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water.

If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil.

Crazy Vee found neither of this options too his liking, so he made a statement that got him out of this seemingly impossible situation.

What is the one statement he could make to save himself?
