NDK,

You're motives are well placed, but while you are here, on this board, heed Ranger Kilted Heathens advice.

I think that if you slowly consume a penis (eat a dick) it might better help you accomplish this task.

Have a nice day.

Everyone who went to graduate school is not a yuppy. There are many bad examples of what not to do when you think you are smarter than everyone else because you made the choice to go the college route. There are also good Mid-Western people like myself that earned what they have and paid their own way to get what they have and don’t want the white-collar job, big house and convertible.

No disrespect, but when you asked for my bio, don’t respect what I have done. Many people have some pre-conceived thought about what type of person I am because of where I am coming from and that is your own opinion, but accomplishments are accomplishments and they come in many different forms. I know that I respect what many of you have done for this country and for democracy as a whole without knowing your history or background but only knowing that you made a pledge to enter into such a disciplined community. My experiences within corporations and in state government they fail miserably at leadership training.

There is and always has been no substitute to the militaries approach to leadership training. This is why I want to be a Ranger, to be a leader and train among the best and to live a life that few have the ability and guts to live. Now if my prior accomplishments are a joke to some that is fine. Respect is earned, never given. And nowadays, with our rush to do everything yesterday, few have the will, patience, or perseverance needed to be truly respected.

I understand that I am a guest and that there is a wealth of knowledge here. I appreciate the help that I have received and look forward to working with those on this site that are willing to help me gain some of the wisdom that they have gained through their own experiences.
I will explain as best as I can, without patronizing but so you can understand.

You are proud of your accomplishments. You should be. It's a lot more than I could do. However, within the parameters of military service and the Army values, your accomplishments are dubious at best.

The Army is all about respect and selflessness. You would get a certain amount of respect for having any sort of degree beyond a highschool diploma, but not the type of respect that's most highly valued. Earned respect in the Army comes from how many soldiers have you brought to prolongued combat...and brought back home? How many people in your unit value your tactical and technical opinions? How reliable are you to accomplish any task given to you without asking for help or needing excessive supervision?

I don't have to define selflessness to you beyond describing that grizzled, old NCO who loves his family more than anything but has to continue to volunteer to take his platoon or company overseas (for his 4th time in 3 years) because he can't bear the thought of letting his men's welfare be in the hands of anyone else.

The intent behind everyone appearing to lack any respect for your accomplishments is their way of telling you to get past yourself. You are infinitessimal(sp) compared to the 'whole'. There is nothing more honorable nor more selfless than soldiers. The impression everyone is getting from you is that 'I've done this and that. The accomplishments of most everyone on this board should be no sweat for me because I'm so great.'

So, with all due respect n00b. Shut the fuck up. PT your ass off. Get your option 40. Brace yourself for the firestorm that awaits you once you sign into Regiment since you're a 'college boy'...and shut the fuck up.

Well stated.....shutting the fuck up with a new found understanding of what being a piece of shit that needs to eat a dick is all about.

Thank you and no sarcasm intended.

My Best Man's father was LRRP in Vietnam. Could I PM you his name to see if you might know him. He too was from ND. I am sure that it was a large community, but I thought that I would ask. I am also unsure if you want me to use names across the boards.
I have responded to you in kind but to date I see no acknowledgement of my post from you to me in this topic. I expect 2 answers from you. The one you initated directed toward me in regard to someone you know and the punishment I meted out to you. You will acknowledge my request and your completion of said asignment. In the future you will do the excercise, whether it be sit-up's, push-up's or flutterkick's and give a sitrep to that Ranger that gave you the assignment that you are done. Am I making myself clear?
