Its hard not to brag when they graduate...
Well it’s been an interesting couple of months and his lanky ass has been changed from civilian, to soldier to (IMHO) an incredibly fit endurance warrior that wholeheartedly believes in what all you Rangers stand for. So graduation is upon us and next Friday February 8th 2013 time undetermined (or n...

Ha thank you dbmtrman but I know not of these trip wire thingamajig things you speak of sir, I am but a humble sailor. So i said exactly what everyone recommended about the 8 mile run back home, and his response was to laugh and say "ha unless you give me a 50lb ruck it isn't even a full effort...

Re: Son QUIT RASP!
unfortunately with the breaks due to holidays he has only completed 4 weeks of RASP. this week December 17th-21st would be week 5, however the cadre has designated it a "zero week" (no idea if I have the term correct) as there isn't really enough base personnel to support their training. s...

Re: Son QUIT RASP!

Son QUIT RASP!
So he was in RASP, the Cole Range week and then on Saturday the 1st we received a garbled voice mail from him, he sounded so sad and despondent…”I quit, it was pure hell about 60 others quit” All of us were absolutely shocked, while we have no frame of reference with what these young men go through,...

Thanksgiving with a side of RASP
So my son is in RASP now, just started week 1 and we knew his class was being let out for thanksgiving break. Since we live next door in SC and he was driving we told him to “load up the car with as many battle buddies as you could and we will play host”. We have all been away from family at holiday...

Re: Introduction from a grateful parent
Good morning everyone, thank you for all the hopes and well wishes. So my son passed his PT with no problems and incredibly others did not. How you volunteered for Ranger school, have months to prepare and then on PT day you encounter problems is beyond me. Granted I know that some of the candidates...

My son oh my son is the reason I have become familiar with this incredible resource. There are many truly selfless and knowledgeable posters on thi...
