I had block leave in between mountains and florida phase in 2000. I thought it was great. My christmas sucked but florida phase I thought was pretty easy.
Instead of showing up to florida tired I didnt get tired until day three or four of the field problem. I was at victory pond before I knew it.

One thing I forgot to add. You may want to think about alternating short distance fast pace runs with long distance slow paced runs.

rest is the most over looked part of most PT schedules. You might want to think about taking a break, depending on your schedule, every 3-4 days.

I would say you need a lesson in task, condition, and standards.

2-3 mile run???

Ranger bmf:

Try interval training for rugby. Helps you keep size but keeps cardio up. Our coach had us doing sprint/fast jog sprint/fast jog for 60 min 2 times a week. It seemed to really translate on the pitch to kicking ass in the second.

Anaerobic metabolism is at the onset of exercise. Once you pass the anaerobic you go into the aerobic metabolism, not the other way around. As for the supplements you mentioned. A big part of those are sugars. If you need a booster and some motivation drink coffee (obviously the amount of sugar you use it might be the same) caffeine is an awesome supplement you can read about it in the Supplements-ergogenics thread.

Its a common misconception that you have to RUN to lose Fat. If you notice in the graph LOW intensity LONG duration is the best way to lose FAT.
