Re: GOP candidate military service
Well at least Perry was USAF.
Errr, maybe that's a reason for you folks to vote against him On second thought; advantage Romney. I guess.

Re: GOP candidate military service
I dunno. There is a fairly good list of Mormons that served in the military. Not extensive, but certainly it exists. It's obvious to me this was not a priority for Romney. Or for that matter any of his sons- but "it is, what it is" and just one measure of a candidate. By the way- what bran...

Re: Plate Carriers
I have an Eagle SPC, but can't say it has been used as a "duty" rig. Anyway, I like the modular nature/flexibility and it is relatively light as body armor goes. They can also be picked up at a very fair price depending on the plates (I need new ESAPI plates, which are anywhere between $40...

Re: EarthQuake on east coast
The epicenter of the East Coast Earthquake was pinpointed to a small graveyard outside of Washington, D.C. where all of the founding fathers rolled over in their graves at once. The Obama Administration has declared the graveyard a 'Significant Geological Feature' and has directed the National Geol...

Holy crap.
Happened to be home today. We were sitting on the deck and it shook/moved the chairs we were sitting in. I initially thought if was one of the Blackhawks/Chinooks that come in low at West Point.
That's a first.

Re: Weapons cleaning questions for the gunsmiths on the boar
I know several who use brake parts cleaner and I have used it myself on my carbines. The drill seems a little over kill :? Of course brake parts cleaner can have some safety issues under the right circumstances : Article To hell with brake cleaner. I want one of those fancy hats like the one in you...

Re: Weapons cleaning questions for the gunsmiths on the boar
Many guys I know use brake cleaner since it is cheaper than some other solvents. But you need to be extremely careful. It should not be used on polymers, can damage rubber, can remove paint on sights and sometimes damages the bluing. That said, from what I have seen it seems to work pretty well prov...

But I am former USAF, so that entitles me to something like a golf handicap with post reading comprehension. I believe it is in the site rules.

Re: RUSSIAN NAVY CAPTURES SOMALIAN PIRATES- Expeditious disp
Did anyone else hear the Russian say "what the fuck is that, what the fuck is that??!...I have grenades" at the 1:04 mark? And they say English is not a universal language anymore? Listen to those romantic, melodic tones, unambiguous tones and tell me how it is anything but universally ap...

Re: U.S. Loses AAA Credit Rating from S&P
the conversation was about whether or not Cicero and Josephus were correct in their description of Jesus. Hmm, interesting since Cicero (that is Marcus Tullius Cicero) was assassinated ( I am doing this from memory so check my dates) around 43 BC. I believe it was for opposing Mark Antony. They act...

Re: U.S. Loses AAA Credit Rating from S&P
US Banks are setting on piles of money and US companies are earning record profits. I can't lose the feeling that we are watching a carefully orchestrated train wreck to achieve an agenda of some kind. They are sitting on piles of cash for several reasons; 1- Regulatory uncertainty. There are mound...

Re: U.S. Loses AAA Credit Rating from S&P
Without the "Tea Party" pushing Republicans in the right direction, that is, towards fiscal sanity, we would not even be this far. It is the old-time "establishment" Republicans comfortable with the status-quo, which really lost the mantel of fiscal responsibility. That is not to...
