GeoCaching

Post by SLEDGE HAMMER »

http://www.geocaching.com/

Thought I would post this up for the Newts and DEP's and whoever else might want to try it.

I do it with my recruiter and has been very helpful practicing my LandNav skills, and the higher(4 or 5) star terrain one's are pretty good smokers to boot.

It can be done with just a map and compass, I'd recommend a $100 gps if you can afford it.

Fuckin city slicker.

I've got 83 pages of 1646 cashe sites in my AO. Maybe if I find all of them, I'll be back in shape before I tackle the Bighorns, eh?

I thought that was a lot

Of course, you could walk to and find 1000 of yours before I could even get to 100 of mine.

By the description of the few I read, I know how absolutely fucking ridiculously difficult some of them are going to be to just GET to.

And somehow.....I don't believe you'll EVER get back in shape :P

Geocaching is gay ! I use a map and don't even need a compass to go steal their shit. I believe this "sport" was invented by the fools who bought a GPS and needed something to do with it. If you want to do something useful then try orienteering.
