Hello all
i'm a servicemember serving with EDITTED BY ADMIN being lazy. i been in since june and i'm loving the army life soo much that i'm requesting Ranger school in my 4187 so i came to this site to read and heed as much freakin information i can. i just want to tell all the depers out there to pay close attention to what these Gentlemen say because trust me they know there stuff and to all the great Rangers out there keep upholding the great tradition! well now that i got that out of the way whats going on guys?

not at the moment because i'm fresh out of basic and i'm not one of the "lucky" ones who got it in their contract but everyone in my section is working with me to get into airborne school. soo i'm hoping for the best

Ranger EarthPig,

The CORPS ARTY wears the same patch as the rest of the 18th ABN CORPS. When it was 18th FA BDE, it was a cannon with wings, derisively known as the "Flying Dildo".

When did 18th FA BDE change patches? Did they reflag under a new structure? I thought 18th Aviation was the flying dildos?

Cal,

As far as I know, HHB and what used to be my unit were the only ones that changed patches from the flying cannon thing to the gaggin' dragon. My unit also got downsized at the same time in 1987.

I really have no clue what the brigade is wearing now. Its been 17 years, and furling our colors was one of the low points. :(
