Rangers,
I am a prior service USMC Infantrymen. I have to go through Basic Training because I have been out of the service for over three years. I am wondering if any information that could help me out about being prior service and going through basic training. I am 32, and still in shape. Thanks for reading.

Re: Prior service and basic training
As long as you"re still in shape, and prepared mentally, you shouldn't have any problems.
The Drills will probably p/u the fact almost immediately you're prior service.

Re: Prior service and basic training
We had a prior service 11B type in our OSUT. They made him the student PSG for the entire class. Worked out well for us. He had a good handle on everything. Hopefully you can keep your sanity with the younger generation. I know he got pretty frustrated with some of us from time to time!

The generation is definitely a lot younger. I was 19 when I joined the Marine Corps. All of the kids at MEPS are all playing fortnite and on Snapchat all day its ridiculous.
