A Come-Back

Post by rangercantu »

I Would Like to extend to you all my appreciation for the warm welcome to this site. Appears that my son is progressing well, I receive a quick note from him about every 4 days. He now has about a week to go and if all goes well I should have a link-up with him about this time next week. Back in the old days when I was a member of A--Company Rangers at fort Hood we used to have a saying that is before some-one came up with Hooah-- We used to say " Drive-On " Ranger "Drive--On" I would like for it to make a come back. We also used to have a drive on Rag which we used as a sweat band, used it to clean weapons, and every now and then we even used it to wipe up spilled beer which only happened on very rare occassions. I am supposed to be being checked out so that I can have access to other parts of this site, again thanx for the welcome and

Sounds great Ranger. Does your son have any plans at this time to 4187 into the Ranger Regiment? Or does he have other further career plans in the Army, beyond serving in the 82nd?

My understanding is the current Rangers hardly ever say 'Hooah' anymore.

Glad to have you aboard.

My Son's future plans

Post by rangercantu »

The 82nd has been good for my son, he is on the fast tract and he will be going to a tactical EMT course here shortly, possibly a couple of more schools, he is too loyal toward his group, but I predict that he will be moving on pretty soon.[/quote]Once he has earned his Tab though I will make the old suggestion of " DRIVE-ON --"RANGER" -DRIVE-ON

Your son will be an asset to any unit he serves with.
