I thought everyone might enjoy this early training film. The circa 1967 is off by a few years, the trainees in this film were with the Wolfhounds which deployed to Vietnam in January 1966. This film is from before that deployment.
By the time I got to Vietnam most door gunners were ex-grunts who got tired of walking and extended their tour for an extra six months so they could get out of the field early.

I remember when the 25th ID instituted this training. Everyone wanted to volunteer (or at least said they wanted to).
