WWII Medals

Post by KeyserS175 »

I have a friend that is looking to make a shadow box of his Grandfathers WWII medals. Problem is, all the medals were lost years ago. Who can he contact to receive new Medals and to ensure they have all the proper ones for the shadowbox? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

At the same time, if you have a copy of his DD-214 (Discharge Certificate), your life will be easier. In many cases, they were filed after discharge in his county records. In Pennsylvania, the county Clerk files them. They have all three of mine, plus the DD-215 that corrected errors and omissions. Good luck.
