Some years ago I was in Peru. The week before I got there they changed the denomination from the Ica to the Inte. They continued to use the old bills. The new bills were worth 1 Inte to 1000 Icas. They just dropped the zeroes on the old bills. By the time I left ten days later, the Inte had lost 15% against the dollar. Inflation is dangerous.
