Post by armywifeandvet »

Hi everyone, I am the spouse of an Active Duty 11B who has completed Ranger school. My main reason for joining this forum is you seem to be the most knowledgeable about everything Ranger related. My husband is currently on his 3rd deployment and just recieved orders for Fort Benning, Georgia to be a Ranger Instructor. I've been searching for any information on what that will entail, but have had very little luck on finding much out about it, so I was hoping someone here would have some information. I thank you all for your service and/or support for those that have family in the service.

Welcome here and thanks for supporting your husband. Have you looked at Benning's webpage and then RTB's (Ranger Training Brigade) page?

I don't know how assignments work with RTB, but he could be assigned at Benning, Mountain Camp, or Eglin AFB. More for you to look at.

Welcome Ma'am. Thank you for supporting your warrior.
The site does tend to be oriented towards the Regiment or for Ranger student hopefuls but there are several members who have been RIs over the years.
Meanwhile assignment to the RTB might mean being stationed at Dahlonaga, GA or at Eglin AFB in Florida. Add these to your 'search' list.
