My name is Adam and I am currently a 1st year (MS1) ROTC Cadet studying at the University of Michigan. As a kid I had thought about the military as a respected profession, but I entered college seeking other career paths. The idea of giving my service to my country always appealed to me, but it wasn't until a few months ago that I really re-focused my plans and decided the military was my best option. The prospect of getting my education, leading other soldiers, and gaining invaluable leadership all while serving my country sealed the deal for me.
In high school I was a very good student attaining a 3.8 GPA, and scoring a 1950(94th percentile) on my SAT tests. Currently I am an Economics major and have achieved a 3.4 GPA through my first term. Physically I believe I am in pretty good shape. I can bench press 245 pounds, perform 20 pullups and have the following APFT stats:
-2 Mile Run 13:28
-Pushups 61
-Situps 53
These scores are by no means perfect and I know I have alot of work ahead of me to become physically ready for the challenge.
I have joined here because I would like to know what is the best option for me given my current situation as a ROTC cadet to become a Ranger. I want to attain the information and tools necessary to accomplish this goal.
