Re: Vic's Introduction
Oh yeah, I can hear it now: "There's that Vic guy, he went and got brain damage so he wouldn't have to go to Ranger School"
No sweat Ranger Vic - you earned the title every bit as much as anyone here who did not come up with the empty cylinders in that russian roulette regimental lifestyle.
Welcome to the patrol base. You're back amongst friends.

If you mean SSG Joe Kapacziewski, you're right on the mark. If you look up "dedicated" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of him. Oh, yeah: Welcome...Kamahito wrote: I remember hearing SSG Cap tell us how we would never look at the regular army the same if we left and he was right.

Re: Vic's Introduction
I met Joe when he and his squad were evacuated to Walter Reed. We here at armyranger.com were able to provide some short-term support to Joe and his family. Several weeks later, they decided they could not save his leg. Joe made the most phenominal recovery. All of us are proud of his accomplishments. A reference to his current status is: http://www.oandp.com/articles/2011-01_01.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Kamahito wrote:That would be the one. He was one hell of a guy. He was always really pissy to the majority of the guys but he was the first one to step in and help those with heart. Plus it is hard to forget a below the knee amputee who could kick your ass on a five mile run haha. Glad to know someone else here knows him. Was he ever forced out? When I left he was fighting it hard and I sincerely hope that he wasn't thrown away.
