I currently live in northern VA about 30 minutes south of DC. I have been looking into the military since I was about 15 didn't really know what I wanted to do until I looked into the Rangers. I instantly I knew that's what I wanted, found a ranger contract and have been training for about 3 months. I am extremely excited that the Army gave me a chance at RASP and serving in the 75th!

Good job on getting your contract. Now that the easy part is over, I'll give you a tip. When referring to a Ranger on the site, or when answering a question, say "Ranger HakweeRgr, Ranger Steadfast, blah blah blah...". Also, capitalize the word Ranger when you write it. It is an earned title, plus it makes it look sexy. Now that you're all signed up, start paying a lot of attention to the little details. The job you want requires it more so than any other job.

There is a lot of good info here. If I were you, I'd read the entire board and PT your balls off until you leave.

Hey young Ranger, you need to go to the Introduction Forum and do an intro. It's SOP and we kinda like to know who we're talking to! Besides, there are all kinds of cool things available once you're verified.....you should see the great Decoder ring! :D
