Looks like they will be radically changing the basic training. More field exercises, etc.
About time?

I just recently got back from AIT as a split option 2, and 30th AG has also changed.. The Drill Sergeant told us without yelling to get off the bus, I was kind of disappointed. The hold overs where nice to us (I guess considering we're back to finish training and theyre not) Last year they ran around yelling at us tearing shit down and telling us storys of how they broke peoples legs And instead of standing in formation for chow we slept in the bay untill the line was short enough, untill we got caught, heh. No doubt its still boring as hell.
AIT was really great, I learnt so much. We learnt about Ranger First Response and a lot of our FTX was Iraq/Afghanistan oriented.
