Intro for jlopes

Post by Cajun Scout »

ALCON -

First off, honored to be here.

I am a 19C (Cavalry Officer) Captain currently serving as a Troop Commander in 4/10th Mountain Division. I previously served as a Scout Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer and S3 Air OIC with 1 BCT, 82nd ABN DIV. I have deployed twice - Jordan for two months and Iraq for 15 months. I am a graduate of Officer Candidate School, Maneuver Officer Basic Course, Basic Airborne Course, Scout Leaders Course (SLC), Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course (RSLC) and, most proudly, Ranger Class 08-09. Prior to my military service I was a high school history teacher and football, basketball and baseball coach. I look forward to both contributing to the site and gleaning information for my command.

Take care and feel free to ask away.

Welcome Young Ranger. Thank you for your Warrior service to our country. You have had some good training and good assignments, so keep learning, take care of your troops and enjoy the ride while you are young, as before you know it you will be an Ol' FOG, like me, hard pressed to remember some of the tales that grow better with age.
