Introduction

Post by DoughBoy11C »

Hello,

Thanks for adding me to the forum, I am currently active duty deployed to Afghanistan, half way through my first tour. I am an 11Chuck, E-5, with a Bravo 1 ASI. I joined the army in Jan '07 I am 24 and come from a family of Infantry NCO's. I found this site because I found myself lost over here. As I look around the moral fiber of the average soldier is below par, the army lowering standards to raise the average, and leaders putting themselves before the mission and their men . NCO's that do not believe in first in last out  . At least in my unit, that anyone who watches the news has heard about. Please spare me the laughs, I'm well aware I am an infantryman stuck in a Recce world lol. I have bared the burden for almost 3 years. I am coming up on reenlistment soon, and am looking into furthering my career and putting myself where I feel I belong. This site has been a great help, I have some questions ill post else ware thank you for the time!

He spoke to me in a voice so sweet,
I thought, I heard the shuffle of the Angel's feet,
He called my name and my heart stood still
When he said, "John go and do my will!"

Good to see you orienting your frustrations towards a higher standard, vs. saying 'fuck it' and heading towards the door. We need more high speed E-5s to stay in. Welcome.
