Option 40 Enlistment

Post by Cisco4711 »

Today was the day I signed the dotted line for a ship date of 20100727; contract of 11x Option 40 :mrgreen:
Yesterday was a No-go at MEPS because MEPS didn't have my ASVAB scores and my recruiter picked me up. Today I was 1st in line but my SSN was not typed right and became last.
Anyways, it feels good to finally have made the commitment and I also did the Pt test twice this week. I produced the same scores on both score.

Easy part is over. It only gets harder from here. You better work hard everyday, you have a long way to go to get in shape. Good Luck

Roger that Ranger dbmtrman and Ranger Lunch.
I have been running on a daily basis since the 1st week of November so my run times have definetely improved. I was following this plan to build up a mileage and I finished on week 8. http://www.military.com/military-fitnes ... -marathons" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I am thinking about changing it up and start following Ranger Silverback's workout and see how that goes.

How did you get an option 40? I've been waiting for 3 months and am being told I may have to wait a year?

Any info would be great.

Thanks,
Jake

I, as well, signed an 11X Option 40 a couple weeks ago and I ship out 20100727. Fortunately, my recruiter was a former Ranger in 1/75th and he worked his ass off to get my contract. Initially they told me there were no spots and it was literally impossible, but strings were pulled and they reserved a slot next to my SSN the next night.
