Town Hall Health Care Meetings Turning Violent

Post by Flesh Thorn »

Town hall meetings called to discuss proposed health care legislation turned violent Thursday, with a meeting in Tampa, Fla., descending into shouting and one in St. Louis ending in arrests.

Close to 1,500 people came to the Tampa suburb of Ybor City to speak with Democratic State Rep. Betty Reed and U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, an event that exploded into a near riot.

According to local media reports, the larger-than-expected crowd gathered outside the Hillsborough County Children's Board building, where several hundred people, most of whom opposed a government health care plan, began to loudly chant and scuffle with organizers posted at doorways after the auditorium filled to capacity.

I saw a video recently that was sponsored by AARP and the women giving the briefing quit and walked out...if you overwhelm the dialogue you kill the debate. This is exactly what the progressives need to force "the agenda".

It was a couple more that 1500

(with tongue planted firmly in cheek and a big swig of kool-aide)...Nothing but a bunch of gun and bible clinging right wing radicals! WTF?!? These damn conservative activists...what do they want, their voice to be heard? Why don't they just let the govenrment take everything over. Wouldn't it be better if we were just like Cuba? What are they thinking. The government knows best. The government is here to help us all. 8)

It was actually a very powerful moment went "you work for us" drove Castor off the stage. She looked about as frustrated as a cat playing with a rubic's cube.

This was on Michelle Malkin's blog:

It showed a new tactic to make sure there are peaceful, no stress, meetings. ACORN and Union members, wearing blue shirts, were allowed in to the meeting area, ahead of time, through a handicap entrance in the back. One the place filled up, the regular citizens were locked out and told there wasn't anymore room.

People are pissed off about the state of affairs? Of course not. It's just a bunch of conservative protestors who hate the administration....
