Intro
Hello, my name is Josh. I plan to enlist in the Army in the near future, hopefully with a Ranger contract. I am waiting to enlist until I get my fat ass in shape. Thank all of you for the information and your service.

I'm a Bama fan because my formative years were spent down in Mobile. That's where I learned about football.

I'm 28, Ranger Silverback. I graduated HS in 2000. I've always wanted to be a Ranger, but right out of high school, I got a good paying job, got fat, and let the dream slide. Now I'm unemployed, a father of two and a husband, and I feel like now is the time to revive it.

No, Ranger Silverback, I made the decision about a month after I got laid off. Having made the decision, and talk my wife into it, and spent hours working out, I was called back to the steel mill I worked in. My wife and I decided that we should continue with the plan to join the Army. Despite the good pay and excellent benefits, I hated working there, so we're going to follow my dream.

Ranger rgrpuck, honestly, it was just hard to walk away from the $75000/year I'd been making to become a private making less then half that.

Yeah, but you'd be getting hot and dirty and sweaty and shivering and cold. Hungry and tired. Wore out and hurt. Running your ass off, standing in long lines, getting yelled at, doing push-ups. Many hours/days/weeks/months away from your family. Who needs money when you get all that?bamafan6603 wrote:Ranger rgrpuck, honestly, it was just hard to walk away from the $75000/year I'd been making to become a private making less then half that.
