Introduction

Post by StillFired »

Hello Rangers,

I am currently a Soldier in the Army Reserve, but not for much longer. I have served in my reserve unit for approximately 2 years, during which time i sent up several requests for conditional releases to join the regular army, and more specifically, to join the infantry. my request was finally approved last month, and i got infantry on my new contract when i went to MEPS. As if i wasnt happy enough with infantry, i was also asked by the Army liason if i wanted the Ranger option. I said "YES!", without hesitation :D I am extremely proud to have the opportunity to prove myself and serve with this Army's best. With every post i read on this forum, i become more motivated! Thank you, Rangers! and thank you for your service!

Thank you Rangers and everyone for the encouraging words, i wont let you down! as a prior service enlistee, i knew my chances of getting an opt40 were slim to none, so i was quite surprised to hear that i had the option. So believe me when i say I wont waste this great opportunity!
