Maybe my tin-foil has is on too tight, but an hour after registering with the NRA, I started receiving phone calls asking if I'd like to participate in an "Empower America" seminar that's upcoming in my AO.

I've never heard of this organization, so did a quick Google search and came up with:

"Empower America was a right-wing think tank established in 1993. In July 2004 it merged with Citizens for a Sound Economy to form a new group called FreedomWorks."

As for the site and Utah -- thanks. I originally set my site up for the family, so I wouldn't have to use Facebook, but then others started using it..so it is what it is.
