A climber who was injured when he fell into a crevasse on Mount Rainier was rescued early Wednesday by an Army Reserve helicopter crew, along with rangers and rescue medics.
The climber, identified as Mitchell Bell, 55, whose hometown was unknown, may have suffered internal and head injuries in a fall Tuesday afternoon while descending the mountain.
Bell was flown to Madigan Army Medical Center around 7 a.m. His condition was not disclosed early Wednesday.
