Welcome and congratulations for enlisting. It's not clear from your intro if you have an Option 40 Ranger contract or what your MOS will be. Let us know. You ship soon. Best of luck to you.

Thank you Copperhead and Ranger Bill. Your welcome gestures are much appreciated.
I have one thing that worries me, asside from RIP
I recently read a post on a different website, Militaryphotos.net, in which a guy serving in the Big Army, spoke about how when he got to RIP his paperwork was F'ed up, and he was told to pack his stuff and went worldwide.
My question is this, is this possible?
If it is, what can I do to aviod it?
Thanks in advance Rangers.

Well, Jacob, a man has only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. Yours has a lot to be desired. Time is short, but you can pick up a lot of good information here. You have your Option 40, so you will have the opportunity to compete for a slot in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Don't squander this chance. Never, never quit!

My guess is he actually got into RIP and quit, and this is the story he tells his girlfriend and parents and anyone else who will listen.
To him it prolly sounds better than admitting he was a failure

To you I say prepare, prepare and prepare some more, both mentally and physically. You give 100% and there is a damn good shot YOU WILL MAKE IT. Good luck to ya'

There are many stories and so far you have only heard one. There is a 98% chance that the Soldier you are referring to has misremembered the reason for his dismissal from RIP.FNG wrote: I recently read a post on a different website, Militaryphotos.net, in which a guy serving in the Big Army, spoke about how when he got to RIP his paperwork was F'ed up, and he was told to pack his stuff and went worldwide.

Among other people with me, I had "F'ed up" orders. The day I graduated BAC on the way to in process at RIP we made a stop and they fixed them right there then sent me on my merry way to get the shit smoked out of me. So, I concur with the general assessment that your friend is more than likely embellishing; ie- he's full of shit.
(The upside to having assed up orders was that my group only got smoked for about 45 minutes as opposed to 2 and a half hours. We also didn't run to RIP we rode in the back of a pickup truck from splinter village.
