Man robs bank to pay for used truck.....

.....while salesman waits outside

Cops are hunting a man who allegedly robbed money from a bank to buy a used truck while the salesman waited outside.

About 10 a.m. Tuesday, a man took the truck for a test drive from a downtown car dealership.

The salesman tagged along and the two went to a bank near 111 Avenue and Groat Road, where he waited inside the truck while the man went inside. The man told the salesman he needed to get money to pay for the truck.

You know once you drive a new car off the lot how much depreciation you get....

I can barely afford to keep gas in my camry, I'd certainly be knocking off about a bank a week if I had to fuel a truck.

As a retired banker, I know full well how much easier it is to steal huge amounts of money from a bank with a pen rather than a gun, and the penalties are small, if any, as opposed to federal charges and armed robbery charges for the relative pennies obtained from a teller.
