Many Americans are afflicted with Iraq fatigue. The story has slipped from the front pages. It's not the overriding issue on the campaign trail. Many people have lost track of what's really happening in those exotic-sounding cities in Iraq.

Hence, the map above, an attempt to help you reconnect, to grasp some of the complexities of Iraq, to put the battles, strategies, setbacks—and, yes, triumphs—into a broader context. Take time to let your eye wander.

There was a quiz on the page that asked you to test your knowledge of both candidates. I was not amazed that I scored 55% on Obama; what amazed me was that I scored 60% on McCain. Just proves I'm ignorant and apathetic; I don't know and I don't care.
