(CNN) -- Afghan police this week seized a massive stockpile of hashish, a stash that weighed as much as 30 double-decker London buses, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said on Wednesday.
An Interior Ministry police unit received a tip on Monday about a drug stockpile in the Spin Buldak area of Kandahar province, and found the 236.8 metric tons (261 tons) of hash hidden in several trenches. The region is about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the Pakistani border.

This is PR bullshit. If they want to really knock down the Taliban's agricultural income, they need to go after poppies and all it's derivatives.
Granted, that is a huge amount of hash, and it took a substantial crop to create, but it's still nothing compared to the opiate output that is skyrocketing over there.

Thats local shit ....they dip hash like Copenhagen. I doubt it would have made it as far as Europe. The export crop is opium. When they make a bust like that of opium I will be impressed.
Spin Buldok isnt a happy place. It leads me to belive that this is a feel good bust and that someone Higher up got pissed off with a few of the local drug business and ratted them out for the press. There is enough product there that this isnt a drop in the bucket.
