I went as young SGT in early 2005. It is a very knowledge intensive course. There is not really anything you need to know prior to going, other than just be ready to study your ass off. I spent the majority of 2 weeks in Vegas with my head in books. It's not by any means a difficult course, just lots of information. The fire support aspect is limited, more focused on bigger picture stuff, MDMP, TAGS/AAGS, (you'll learn to love those last two). Don't sweat it and just approach it like you would anyother military school. I hope you like powerpoint.
Thats the beauty of alcohol: if you don't remember it, it didn't happen!
