Welcome, Seth. A man has only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression -- you are doing OK. If you truly want to earn yourself a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right place. By now you have the site rules and guidance. As soon as you can, please post your PT scores. Never, never quit!

What is it that you think is good to go? Give us some numbers here.SCShooter1983 wrote:I was working today and my recruiter called and had to change out meeting to tomorrow because he had to take another person to MEPS at Fort Jackson. As of right now the only part of my pt that is hurting are my pushups. About 6 months ago I quit working out and doing any kind of daily pt except a Ranger workout DVD I have. I have only been able to 35 pushups in 2 minutes. My sit ups are good to go. my 2 mile run is good to go as well.

I'm thinking your ''good to go'' may be a bit different than mine. For me to agree with someone attempting RIP as ''good to go'' on situps would be at least 100 in two minutes and your two mile run as a sub-12 minute time.SCShooter1983 wrote: I have only been able to 35 pushups in 2 minutes. In my opinion, those are the minimum scores for those two events that would qualify as 'good to go' in my book.
Based on the pushup score you posted, I'm thinking your G2G is quite a bit different on the two other events than mine.

Build your upper body strength. You have to do do at least 80 proper form pushups in two minutes to meet Ranger standards. Get there. Read the posts in the About Army Physical Fitness Forum.

,
Welcome and good luck. Work on those push-ups but don't let your run and sit-up score drop.
