I have been in touch with H&K regarding the 417, it still is not in the pipeline here in the US at least not as of early Oct. THey are still working out supply issues. Not that this is surprising with H&K, the 416 is still in short supply if you are an agency that is not related to the Fed. Govt.
There are others working on a piston 308, POF, LWRC, to start.
