Rangers and SF low on personel

My friend in the 1st armored division in Iraq was tellin me that SF is low on personel. Are the Rangers low as well because of the war?

Being in a state of war isn't going to stop anyone who has the ambition of being a Ranger from getting there. If anything, it would encourage them. It's not something you just wake up one morning and go "Ahh..you know what, today I'm going to be a Ranger!" It's a commitment and a state of mind. You have to want it.

As far as the numbers go, I don't really think it's much worth public knowlege. Rumors are just that, Rumors.
