Rangers,

Thank you all for your insight into the U.S. Army Ranger's. Due to your guidance, I was able to secure my Option 40 today at MEPS with a six-year enlistment and a bonus of $35,000. Due to my 3 years of JROTC, I am enlisting as a PFC. I report to RGV4 20080604, OSUT 20080613, and BAT 20080922. I will not fail and I will never quit.

You've got some time left to get in really great shape. Don't forget the PT.

Start memorizing the Soldier's Creed & the Ranger's Creed if you haven't done so by now.

35K for 6 years!!??!! I'm lucky if I got a thousand at one time in my 27 years! Actually I think I got 5 grand once for reenlisting for 6 years.

Oh to be young again!! I'd still go back in in a heartbeat bonus or no bonus if they'd have me.

I'm reporting to the recruiter's office Tuesday to ship to MEPS, then off to Benning on Wednesday. Thank you for this resource, it has been invaluable.
