introduction

Post by GMONEY »

Well, alot of the people that I work with are on this site so here goes...

I came in the army as a 31S, Satellite Communications Systems Operator/Maintainer (now 25S) in '99. Was in the 112th Special Operations Signal Batallion (Airborne) at Fort Bragg for about 6 years... From that unit I participated in OIF twice while attached to 3rd bn, 5th SFG(A) and with 2nd Bn, 10th SFG(A).

In 2005 I decided to go to the Ranger Orientation Program when they started hiring 25 Sierra's. After ROP I was assigned to RSD (regimental signal detachment), SHF section. I was suppossed to take over the SHF Section as NCOIC after Ranger School, but while I was in Ranger School they activated the Special troops Battallion and turned it into the RCC (Ranger Communication Company) they deactivated the SHF section and made me a Platoon SGT (i have 10 guys, I guess in the signal world thats a platoon). Anyways, I've been on a couple deployments from here. Don't really know what else to write other than this. All I know is I'm in the Regiment and I've signed up for this site under three different e-mail accounts and this is the first time I've gotten an account activation...maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyways, if you guys out there know me than vouch for me I guess.

Welcome to the site, Ranger! Your user name has probably caused you grief, if the others were similar to this one. We get spammed a lot, and many of the spammer names are: GetMoneyFast, EARNMONEY, XXXVID, etc. You made it through the wire this time, though.

OK,

So instead of PM'ing everyone I figured I'd just post this really quick before I send steadfast my verification packet. Please excuse my bad grammar, spelling, puncuation, etc...

Unfortunately I missed RR'07. My big signal boss sent me up to hang out with Spongebob during the event which I was not too happy about but mission comes first. In fact the day you guys were throwing the big kegger out on exit 7 at the holiday inn, well that saturday was the Saturday I flew back into Columbus. My guys WERE running the open house during the event and a couple of them said they met you. Your big shindig was going on as I was driving home to see my wife and kids after being gone for two weeks so as tempted as I was to stop by, family comes first.

Sponge, I'll be up there next week but only for a short time, just to catch a ride if you know what i mean.

JLTW!!!, I was in A co for all of Ranger School. I looked at your signature block, if you were A co I think I know who you are. We had this old crusty E7 who went to OCS and became a 2LT and went to RGR School, but he was really squared away and I know he was in 10th Mountain....???? was that you? I would say the name but don't want to break opsec, started w/ an "L"

nope, don't have any batteries for PRC-7's; 10's or 25's....we use coffee cans and some WF-16 wire and we send runners when we need to get a message somewhere.

Just remember that the verif. packet is kept private. What you post here is seen by everyone who visits the site (Ranger, non-Ranger, Civilian, friend, foe).
