Introduction...Recce By Death

Post by Recce By Death »

Where to start...

19 years service with the Canadian Armed Forces (5.5 Res - the rest Regular forces)

Currently serving with the Royal Canadian Dragoons.

My current position is tank commander after being in Recce as a Patrol commander.

Last tour was Afghanistan from Aug 05 to Mar 06 in KAF with CJTFA TFK Roto 4/0 Op Athena/ Archer under OEF....8 months of fun in the sun. Been everywhere from Surobi to Kabul to Kandahar and all points in between.

Prior tour was Sept 03 to Jan 04 Bosnia Op Palladium Roto 13, Zgon Bosnia

Many domestic operations, flood relief, Oka Crisis, Ice Storm.

Next tour is going to be next August with my tank squadron, or possibly back in recce...either way, I'm going back.

Came across this site and thought I might be able to bring a different perspective on things and pick up some new ways of approaching things when deployed.

Thanks for your time.

Regards

Welcome Canucklehead!
I've spent some time in uniform at Pet, back when there was a regiment there  if you get my drift.
Visited an old pal up there a few months ago.
Thanks for hanging in there with us in the 'Stans - and all the best for your next trip, the "Big Cats" you lot just got should make this trip a lot more fun than your last.
And set aside a case of Creemore for my next visit.

Roger that....those were some fucked up days back then.

As for getting the big cats back, yep but a bit on the steriods.

120mm and 70 tons....a bit bigger punch.

Thanks for the welcome Rangers.
