Introduction

Post by Nun »

Hello All,

I ran into a former 2/75 guy yesterday after a Memorial Day parade in MA. After the Sam Adams began flowing, he turned me on to this site.

I graduated Ranger School class 1-96. A few years later, I convinced my wife to go to the Regiment. I went to ROP in 2001 and was assigned to 3/75 as the Terrain NCO to pay my dues. A few months later, the twin towers went down and I became the PSG of 1st PLT, C Co. Serving with the Regiment was, by far, the best time on this earth: even with the import jokes. When my PSG time was over, my wife wanted a break from the deployments and asked me to get a ROTC job. So here I am in Boston fulfilling Abrams' Charter.

As a former PFC in 1st Platoon (before your time though), let me extend a hearty welcome!

Charlie 51,

I noticed your January 1995 comment. I was assigned to 5/87 during the riots. We were very grateful for the help you and the 82nd guys gave us when we were outnumbered. I went into Camp 4 during the first riot and our Company took 90% casualities from the rocks.

Thanks,

Nun

Freakin crazy LBG's, I remember haulin this one guy out that looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger's training partner. Took 3 sets of flex cuffs to link his wrists. Docile as a lamb. Then the little bastard behind him would not shut up so I did what any good Ranger Seargent would do, I gave him an uppercut with my axe handle!! He didn't say shit after that

Fun times
