"300"

Post by The Holmchicken »

Did the "300" workout this morning. Best time so far is the lead character from "300" with 18 minutes, 11 seconds. My time was 24 minutes, 34 seconds. Read more below. Fell free to give it a whirl.

What is a floor wiper?

I lift pretty frequently and am not familiar with that particular exercise.

I will say that this workout looks like a decent smoker, though I just go for the regular weightlifting regimen with APFT events and ab focus during my rest times.

Seems to work pretty well for me, though I'm still slow as fuck at a 15:00 minute 2 mile time.

Kinda hard to move around these days. Getting old, you know.

Very humbling...

I tried it this afternoon before we went to the range...bad idea. I didn't feel like moving, and my forearms were twitching like crazy. The pull-ups smoked me the most. I do them weighted, when I can hit 10, I bump up the weight 5 pounds.

I didn't do the floor wipers because I don't know what they are.

So even minus the floor sweepers, 34 minutes flat  .

I am not even going to compete with you maniacs. I did the "150" and rocked it in 9 minutes, though I felt like I was going to puke for a good 20 minutes afterwards.

We've got a serious crossfit beast in our camp, who is going to give us some workouts to do. I watched him do squats on a rubber ball today. What a maniac.

Good stuff! I wished I had this program when I was in Batt. My strength, speed, endurance and size have gone through the roof. I've put on 45 lbs since Batt, mainly through crossfit and run even faster now than I did then, with strength and endurance for years. If I only knew....

Is that like a form of Crossfit or Combat Crossfit? Crossfit was cool, but this year everybody's doing Combat Crossfit. I'm guessing that since that movie is more than a year old, that program is probably way out dated. :P :P

I have no idea, but that's what the new shirts say on them.
