Surgery Tomorrow (Update)

Post by GSXRanger »

Ok... time for the knife. Goin tomorrow to get an old Collarbone break, fixed. Apparently, it never healed. So, now they have to do a re-section, bone graph and put a plate on it. While the surgeon is at it, he's gonna go into my right shoulder, and fix the two tears I have in my rotator cuff. After that, he is moving south, to my left knee... I have a torn MCL and a torn LCL with partial tears in my ACL. Also, two flap tears in the Meniscus...

20 years of jumping, carrying heavy rucks, running, mtn biking, knee dragging, and general abuse has caught up with me... but, I have the best Sports Medicine Ortho here in the Monterey area... he says I should be back to normal in no time...

Wish me luck...

Hope everything is alright. The Clavicle is the reason I had to leave the Army. Broke it too many times. When you are done with the surgery and all I may have some questions for you.
It's all good.

Not even close. He's broke but repairable and not a FOG. Have a good and fast recovery.

Think of it as a depot-level rebuild. Not just reset.

Good luck with the surgery. I know I sure appreciated all the well-wishers when I had back surgery in April.

Stick with Physical Therapy when that rolls around. Try not to rush back into things. Thats the best advice I got pre-surgery, and it sure helped me.
