intro

Post by mavslax »

Hi, my name is Kasey. I am 18 years old, currently in High School, and am enrolling in ROTC at Clemson University this fall. I had aspired to be a Ranger, until I learned that officers do not have the option to volunteer for the 75th Ranger Regiment. I do, however, intend to complete Ranger School after being commissioned. Lately, I have had second thoughts about becoming an officer rather than enlisting. I will save that for another post, however.

Rangers nightfighter 6 and FISHBOY F/51 thank you for clearing that up. I was under the impression from postings on this site and other sources that Officers had to be handpicked, and could not volunteer, to be in the Regiment. Yes, Ranger Zonk 1/75, I do play lacrosse for my high school. I am out right now for a couple weeks due to a torn ligament. Are you a former lacrosse player?

Welcome, and good luck. You can voluteer for anything. Whether you can prove that you're worthy is an entirely different issue.
WE NEED MORE RANGERS!

What makes you think you are worthy? Don't answer that but just think on it a bit. If you really want to be a Ranger would going enlisted be the most direct route. Some have said that starting at the bottom is experience worth it’s weight in GOLD.
