Right off the south east side of Main post on Ft Polk, Behind the small arms ranges on south boundary rd. It only opens maybe once a week due to the training.66G_RN wrote:Good eating. :D
I'm just curious, beings as I'm very familiar with your neck of the pine forest, Ranger Speedracer, where'd you shoot him?
Wife already pulling the cook books

I used to dove hunt with my older brother not far from there on the civilian side, like 23 years ago. My Dad still lives in the area. My Mom grew up in Pickering and Mom and I both graduated from high school there.
I worked with the YAC as a Lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor at the North Fort Pool when I was 17. It's the pool that used to be a tank wash with a lifeguard stand in the middle. We swam at a minimum, 2 miles a day, sometimes three if we could get the time. It was rather difficult to pull a swimmer in trouble out of that pool so you had to be a strong swimmer with a cool head. That was 21 years ago.
So, no, Ranger Zonk, I am not missing any birds :D (and I live in Kansas now). But, it seems there is not a day that goes by when I drive into town that I don't see a large flock turkeys nibbling in the wheat fields. They are everywhere! I keep thinking I need to take a picture because now we are seeing pullets too.
So what recipe did your wife decide on, Ranger Speedracer?

I have watched this thread waiting patiently for someone to post a picture of some one flipping a bird and it's not happened...

I was planning on taking the legs of the bird and curling them back to do just that, then post in on the garage door..VAK wrote:I have watched this thread waiting patiently for someone to post a picture of some one flipping a bird and it's not happened...
