Got to battalion as an import from the 82nd in Jan 01. I worked in the PAC office at 1/75. Had the best time in my life when I was there. I got to go with A CO to OEF 1 during 4 March. Broke my foot at Ranger School my first try but got in the second. When I got promoted to SSG I went to RHQ for a year. Now I work at USSOUTHCOM in Miami(hometown) and man do I miss wearing a scroll. Reading these stories brings back some great memories of the boys and Savannah.
Wish I could go back, but with my MOS it'll be impossible, not sure what I'm gonna do. Heard a lot of guys are headed to AWG - just not sure if they're gonna have my MOS.

Yeah, when I worked in the PAC office it was pretty easy when an E4 would do it, but I'm getting ready to pin on E7. I tried reclassing when I when I had just pinned on E6 to another support MOS so I wouldn't have to leave BN and go to Regt, but my branch would not let me go - its a lot harder than you think, you have to get a release letter, certain MOS's won't release you due to strength, etc. I had letters for the RCO and RSM and still got shot down. So as an E7 its even gonna be harder and then to get hired as an E7 with no line experiences will never happen.
Oh well....good memories though. I hope to land a job somewhere in VA and be part of the bigger "team"
