civilian introduction

Post by fattuesdays »

Hi, my name is Aaron. I am in my 4th year at a university and will graduate in June (if life goes on as planned). I am joining the Army, I have a 18x reservation and I'm going to MEPS on Monday (tomorrow, actually) to confirm that. I'll be shipping out after I graduate.

Thanks

Go ahead and tell us just a little more, like what made you decide to join, what kind of shape are you in, what are your goals in life etc.

Well, Ranger Matador275, I am joining the Army to serve my country. Ever since I was a kid I have dreamed of being in Special Forces; to be in the company of such high-caliber men would be an honor in itself... Earlier this year I was in better shape, I was running 6 miles every other day and playing rugby on my university team... but over the summer and since then, I have been lazy... so now I have to get myself into even better shape before I ship out in late June/early July, especially now that I've qualified for SF (my eyes are pretty bad).... My goals in life? To be a good person, I know it's a beauty pagent answer, but that's it's true... to challenge myself, give my all, and whatever job I do in the future to be something I can be proud of.
