Intro. New Ranger Parent
There is no such thing as an EX-Marine. With that said I am a Marine who proudly served my country from 1968 - 1971. There are three things that will give me chill bumps, cause my heart to pump with pride and tears to roll down my cheeks. 3. Marine Corps Hymn 2. National Anthem, and 1. My son a RANGER. Yes I was surprised that he joined the ARMY but I supported his decision. He orginally signed up for Airborne Infantry (already a better man than me.) but during Airborne school he was ask to consider going to RIP, which he did and passed. He graduated RIP in November and is assigned to 2/75. I now have a Ranger flag flying along side my Marine Corp Flag and the Stars and Stripes. I wear a ball cap with the 2nd Ranger Battalion Scroll to show support for not only my son but all Rangers.
I must say you Rangers are a PROUD bunch, I now understand why I say to you not just Semper Fi but RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!! Thank you all for your service to this great country. I am not to proud am I??

Welcome to the dogpile!
As a Ranger & the son of a WW2 Marine, I can imagine how you feel.
I did try the Marine recruiter first, but he asked me to count to ten & I did so.
Since I didn't use my fingers & toes, he informed me that I failed the hand-eye coordination test. :D
Semper Fi, Mac!
